The 2024 college football season ushers in a new era of college football with the first year of the expanded 12-team Playoff. Four rounds on the journey to the championship add to the pageantry of the country’s second most popular sports property.

The Vrbo Fiesta Bowl, known as the “Bowl of Firsts,” makes history once again on December 31, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. MST, when it hosts the first-ever CFP Quarterfinal. The 54th installment of the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl features one of the top four conference champions matched up against the winner of a first-round playoff game between teams seeded between 5-12 in the final CFP rankings. The 35th annual Guaranteed Rate Bowl has a new, exciting 3:30 p.m. MST kickoff time in downtown Phoenix on December 26, 2024. Coming off Bowl Season’s highest scoring game in 2023 – Kansas posted a 49-36 win in last season’s Guaranteed Rate Bowl – the only postseason Big Ten vs. Big 12 matchup returns to Chase Field to begin the Bowl Season in Arizona.
Ticket purchases also support Fiesta Bowl Charities with their efforts to provide statewide impact through the organization’s pillars of youth, sports and education. Over the last 14 years, Fiesta Bowl Charities has given $32 million to Arizona communities and teachers.
