Information storage and management company Iron Mountain has purchased data storage companies in Chicago, Phoenix and Florida. Terms of the deals were not disclosed.

The companies involved in the transactions include IG2 Data Security Inc. in Chicago; DATAPROS Storage and Staffing LLC in Phoenix and Data Backup Inc. in Sarasota, Fla.

Last week Iron Mountain Inc. announced that Chairman and CEO Richard Reese plans to retire. The Boston company appointed William Meaney as CEO. Meaney will also serve as president and a board member, effective Jan. 7, 2013. Meaney previously served as CEO of Hong Kong’s Zuellig Group.

Iron Mountain named lead independent director Al Verrecchia as chairman, which is effective upon Reese’s retirement from the board in March.

Its stock fell 16 cents to $31.18 in midday trading Monday. They have traded in a 52-week range of $27.10 to $37.70.
