WESTMARC Day — celebrated on 6/23 — draws inspiration from the 623 area code, established in 1999 to serve the rapidly growing West Valley. Today, that number represents more than geography — it’s a symbol of regional pride, shared purpose, and collective progress.

“WESTMARC Day is a celebration of the people, partnerships, and possibilities that make the West Valley such a powerful place to live, work, and grow,” said Sintra Hoffman, President and CEO of WESTMARC. “We’re honored by this recognition from our cities and excited to continue building the future of this region — together.”
The following cities have agreed to issue official proclamations recognizing June 23, 2025, as WESTMARC Day: Avondale, Buckeye, El Mirage, Gila Bend, Glendale, Goodyear, Litchfield Park, Peoria, Surprise, Tolleson, Wickenburg, and Youngtown.
These proclamations highlight WESTMARC’s role as the united voice of the West Valley, bringing together 15 communities along with business, education, and nonprofit partners to drive key priorities such as workforce development, infrastructure, and long-term regional prosperity.
This recognition also coincides with WESTMARC’s recent rebranding initiative, which debuted earlier this year to reflect the West Valley’s continued growth and momentum. The new brand positions the region as elevated, thriving, united, and full of opportunity—values that WESTMARC and its partners champion every day.
WESTMARC encourages residents, businesses, and community stakeholders to join the celebration by sharing their #623Day pride on social media and continuing to collaborate for a stronger, more unified West Valley.
