Arizona’s family-owned and operated New York City-inspired deli has served the Valley since 1979 with freshly baked breads, custom cakes and pastries, and their world-famous bagels. It was 40 years ago when the Borenstein Family first arrived in Arizona, deciding that the Valley of the Sun was in desperate need of a place to buy real, “water bagels,” like the ones they had back home in Queens, New York.

In the early 1980s, Lou Borenstein went door-to-door delivering bagels and cookies and showcasing their products in coffee shops and grocery stores. Now, there are five Chompie’s locations across the Valley.

Mark Borenstein, co-owner of family-owned Chompie’s, said, “We are so grateful to have been serving our guests the ultimate in East Coast tradition in the Valley of the Sun for over a third of Arizona’s state history!”

Chompie’s can’t celebrate its 40th birthday without YOU, the customers who have brought the good times and great eating to its five Valley locations over the years.
