Downtown Scottsdale will soon be home to the new, expansive Embassy Suites by Hilton Resort Scottsdale. Chaparral Suites, located at the northeast corner of Scottsdale and Chaparral Roads, Chaparral Suites is undergoing a $22 million renovation to transform the hotel into a spacious, resort member of the Embassy Suites portfolio with a distinctive Scottsdale flavor. Crescent Hotels & Resorts, a nationally recognized operator of hotels and resorts based in Fairfax, VA, has managed the hotel throughout the renovation process and will continue operations under the Embassy Suites flag.
“We’re going all out to make a huge impact on visitors from around the U.S. as well as residents in the Scottsdale area,” said Mark Snyder, president, Snyder Nationwide Real Estate, Inc. and owner of the Chaparral Suites, soon to be Embassy Suites by Hilton Resort Scottsdale. “We’re renovating every guestroom, the exterior, the lobby, the pools, and the grounds. Everything is going to be upgraded to create an authentic Scottsdale experience so that guests and convention-goers can relax and enjoy themselves while being within minutes of downtown Scottsdale.”
The transformed Embassy Suites by Hilton Resort Scottsdale will include 312 updated elegant guest suites, all of which feature two rooms or more. Luxury executive and VIP suites include multiple bedrooms and are ideal for family gatherings, golf trips and girls’ weekends. The redesigned lobby, exterior, landscaping and pools are all part of the 15-acre renovation, providing multiple locations for weddings, social events or peaceful relaxation. The existing restaurants will also be completely reimagined to include a wine bar and fresh, exciting dining choices.
Snyder, a longtime Scottsdale resident who has overseen major renovations of several hotels across the U.S., is dedicated to creating the Embassy Suites by Hilton Resort Scottsdale to be a distinctly Scottsdale urban retreat. Along with refurbishing the traditional terra-cotta rooftops, other touches include a massive lobby mural of Camelback Mountain, Scottsdale art and memorabilia adorning the walls, natural landscaping with indigenous plants, and revitalized restaurant menus using locally grown ingredients.
In addition to guest rooms and shared spaces, the renovation also includes an upgrade of the more than 60,000 sq. feet of meeting and event space, one of the largest in the Scottsdale area. New finishes plus up-to-date technology, business amenities and the latest audio-visual equipment will be geared towards businesses and associations looking to hold meetings and conferences in Scottsdale.
The many behind-the-scenes upgrades will add to the wellbeing and convenience of guests including soundproof windows that will contribute to the resort’s quiet and comfortable environment.
“We’re excited to expand our presence in Scottsdale,” said Bill Duncan, global head, Embassy Suites by Hilton. “Like all Embassy Suites hotels, the unique combination of two-room suites, free made-to-order breakfast and complimentary evening drinks and snacks will appeal strongly to business travelers as well as families, groups and couples staying for leisure.”
The hotel is located at 5001 N. Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85250 and remains open during the renovation with every effort being made to minimize the impact on guests’ experience.
