“Banana Republic is a brand synonymous with rich design and premium quality, so it’s a natural fit for this elevated, yet attainable, brand to make its return to Scottsdale Fashion Square in the newly remodeled upscale south wing,” said Melanie Sutton, Senior Marketing Manager for the shopping center. “We’re proud that Fashion Square is the home of the brand’s newest store location and look forward to having our shoppers discover all that Banana Republic has to offer.”

The Scottsdale store offers distinct shopping environments for women’s and men’s collections, each with its own design language. Women’s is positioned at the front of the store, defined by soft finishes and a refined light palette, while men’s occupies the center, grounded in rich, natural textures.

The cashwrap, inspired by a boutique hotel check-in desk, features a 16-foot island tiled by Zia with a leather-wrapped top, complemented by Allied Maker pendants above.

At the back of the store, the Fitting Room Lounge offers an elevated, residential feel. Guests pass through metal plaster arched portals into a space wrapped in grass cloth wallpaper and a hand-painted mural by Dean Barger Studios, depicting Arizona’s desert flora and fauna.

A custom mirror reflects the entire space beneath a chandelier handcrafted from recycled safety glass by Conan Castillo of High Point, North Carolina. Anchoring the lounge is a mohair velvet wraparound sofa, upholstered in Rose Uniacke fabric, offering a serene moment within the space.

The Scottsdale store continues Banana Republic’s legacy of collaborating with American artisans and independent makers to bring design stories to life in numerous other ways, including the “Red Towers” sculpture reinterpreted into custom wood fixtures by Ellie Richards in Los Angeles; oversized ceramic vessels commissioned through Cohab Space and designed by Trevor Dunn of North Carolina; reclaimed

oak shelving and tables in exclusive Banana Republic finishes, complements of Ecology out of the Pacific Northwest; and hand-crafted walnut jewelry tables and wardrobe fixtures created by Narad Persaud in New York.

To mark the opening, Banana Republic recently hosted a special event, allowing  tastemakers, customers and special guests to experience the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship and design firsthand. The evening included a formal ribbon cutting, locally inspired refreshments, a live DJ and exclusive gifts with purchase.

Banana Republic is located on the upper level of Scottsdale Fashion Square’s south wing, which was recently renovated to expand the center’s signature luxe shopping experience.
