Reflecting a commitment to enhanced dining and entertainment experiences, Chandler Fashion Center is serving up the latest addition to its culinary lineup with a concept known for its exemplary steak menu. Today, Macerich — one of the nation’s leading owners, operators and developers of one-of-a-kind retail and mixed-use properties in top markets — announced Arizona’s first Wagyu House will open in the shopping center’s revitalized dining and entertainment district in fall 2027. The redevelopment project is attracting attention from prominent retail brands, as well, with a series of notable new openings planned for the coming year.

Specializing in all-you-can-eat yakiniku, Wagyu House offers the world’s most sought-after cuts — including American and Australian full blood Wagyu, and the highly coveted Japanese A5 Wagyu — offering an indulgent and unforgettable meal. Each Wagyu House location is thoughtfully designed to reflect its local character while staying true to the brand’s core: luxury, celebration and sensory indulgence.

“Every visit is more than a meal — it’s a journey that awakens sight, scent, sound and taste,” said Harby Yang, CEO, Wagyu House. “We’re eager to introduce this immersive experience to the Arizona market and welcome guests from Chandler and beyond to discover a dining destination where every bite tells a story, and every moment is crafted to be unforgettable.”

Elevated Experiences, Inside and Out

Meanwhile, inside the shopping center, a collection of high-profile fashion retailers are poised to open in coming months at Chandler Fashion Center, reinforcing the energy this development initiative is bringing both inside and out.

  • J. Crew Factory joins the retail lineup today (May 14), bringing its exclusive collection of colorful, classic styles for men, women and children at affordable prices to East Valley shoppers.
  • In June, Swarovski will open its doors for a new retail boutique featuring beautiful crystal-based products of impeccable quality and craftsmanship that bring joy and celebrate individuality.
  • Later this summer, GARAGE will introduce its signature Gen Z style with playful, trend-driven fashion inspired by the return of iconic Y2K looks, from low-rise denim to effortless everyday staples designed for individuality and personal expression.
  • In early 2027, the center will be the home of the Valley’s newest Levi’s Store, a denim brand that has epitomized American style ever since Levi Strauss & Co. invented the blue jean in 1873.

“For nearly 25 years, Chandler Fashion Center has served as the Southeast Valley’s go-to retail destination,” said Monica Greenman, General Manager of the shopping center. “We love bringing in first-to-market restaurants and sought-after retailers, giving our community their favorite brands close to home while introducing new ones they’ll be excited to discover.”

Fueling up to explore these new and expanded retail gems will be easier than ever, as the shopping center’s casual culinary offering is also set to expand this summer with:

  • The highly anticipated opening of the Southeast Valley’s first Johnny Rockets diner, serving up American classics like burgers, fries and hand-crafted shakes
  • Sip Fresh bringing a refreshing blend of hand-crafted juices, smoothies and bowls, all featuring fresh, fruity ingredients
  • Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen adding its signature Louisiana flavors, including classic fried chicken and southern sides, to the food court

A similar level of accelerated retail power is evident outside the immediate shopping center, as well. The Boulevard Shops at Chandler Fashion Center are also popping with leasing activity, including:

  • TRND Setters barber shop, which opened earlier this month
  • Chi Cha San Chen, a premium Taiwanese tea house opening in June that has earned prestigious three-star Superior Taste Awards from the International Taste Institute
  • Cleopatra Ink, a five-star tattoo and piercing studio, which also opened this spring

“As the East Valley continues to expand, shoppers have more options than ever, but Chandler Fashion Center remains the preeminent shopping center for the region,” said Kim Choukalas, Senior Vice President, Leasing for Macerich. “This redevelopment initiative recognizes shoppers’ growing interest in destinations where they can engage in well-rounded entertainment experiences, from shopping to dining and beyond. The leasing progress thus far reflects Macerich’s dedication to delivering on that promise.”

This latest update on upcoming additions at Chandler Fashion Center complements the previously announced anticipated arrival of Din Tai Fung. Globally renowned for its handcrafted Xiao Long Bao or soup dumplings, the iconic Taiwanese restaurant is scheduled to open at Chandler Fashion Center in 2027.
