“We are very strategic with the growth of our brand, and we instantly knew that the Arizona Center would be a perfect fit for our newest location,” said Mandy Heflin, co-owner of Chula Seafood. “We look forward to serving the downtown business crowd and residents of the area, whether stopping in for a quick lunch, enjoying happy hour or coming in to try one of our unique monthly specials.”

The menu at Chula Downtown is unlike its sister locations in Uptown Phoenix, South Scottsdale and North Scottsdale. This location is the first to offer chicken and beef selections in addition to its renowned freshly sourced seafood selections.

Also unique to this location are the signature bowls, including the Ate Oh Eight Bowl featuring salmon and tuna poke, the Teriyaki Bowl and the Medi Coast Bowl with lemon garlic chicken. Also new is the “build your own bowl” option, which allows diners to choose their protein from a wide selection of fish and seafood as well as lemon garlic chicken or beef bulgogi, their base, such as seasoned sushi rice, McClendon’s organic mixed greens, fragrant jasmine rice or brown rice, their add-ons, such as edamame, cucumber, ginger, seaweed and more, and their sauce from choices such as lemon tahini, creamy sesame vin, ginger shoyu and more.

Of course, Chula Classics such as the Lobster Roll, Clam Chowder, Fish and Chips and the Crispy Fish Sandwich, as well as a raw bar and fish plates, that Chula fans have come to know and love are available at the new location. And Little Guppies selections just for the kids include chicken tenders, cheeseburger, teriyaki salmon, kid’s poke bowl, and fish and chips.

Chula Downtown offers signature cocktails, beer and wine, as well as the addition of frozen lemonade, frozen margaritas and dirty sodas. Guests can choose from selections such as the Raspberry Dream with Dr. Pepper, raspberry, vanilla and cream, the Hawaiian with Sprite, pineapple, coconut and cream, and others. They can even custom make their own dirty soda with their choice of soda and two mix-ins.

In celebration of its opening, Chula Downtown will be giving away 20 t-shirts to the first 20 paying customers on Monday, June 22 through Friday, June 26.

Chula Downtown is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. On Saturday, the fish market opens at 8 a.m. Happy hour is offered Monday through Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m. and all day long on Sunday.
