In November 2020, a proposition passed that affectively legalized the recreational use of cannabis for those over 21 years old in Arizona. New ownership of the Clarendon Hotel and Spa, a landmark Four Star boutique hotel in Central Phoenix, announces it is Arizona’s First Cannabis Friendly Hotel. On July 25, guests will now have the opportunity to book cannabis friendly rooms by calling the hotel at 602-252-7363 or using the website Bud and Breakfast at https://www.budandbreakfast.com/. The cannabis sleeping rooms at the Clarendon Hotel are located on the west side of the hotel property where guests can partake in edibles, flower and vape which have been purchased at a local dispensary. Cannabis flower usage is allowed in designated areas only. To shop for cannabis, the hotel will offer a car service to drive guests to a dispensary.

The only difference in the cannabis rooms is that each will contain a ‘scrubber,’ which recirculates the air to keep things fresh. Between guests, a more powerful cleaner is brought in for a deeper clean of the environment. There is NO cigarette smoking in any of the hotel rooms.

“We are a cannabis friendly hotel and have a cannabis friendly event company that is elevating and educating the community about cannabis,” states Daron Brotherton, VP Operations.

Chef Derek Upton, known as Arizona Cannabis Chef, and featured on Netflix’s Cooked with Cannabis and Food Network’s first ever Chopped 420 is available to provide in-room cannabis infused dinners. Guests can also register for his Elevated Under the Stars, an intimate dinner party featuring a cannabis infused 6 course fine dining experience atop the Skydeck. During the heat of the summer months, the event location is off-site and indoors.
