Scottsdale Fashion Square, part of the Macerich portfolio of one-of-a-kind retail properties in top markets, today announced that three, high-end Swiss watch boutiques – Breitling, Hublot and IWC – will open in the property’s elevated luxury wing.

Connected via in-store entryways, the individual boutiques of approximately 800 square feet each are being custom-designed for:

• Breitling, a luxury Swiss watchmaker founded in 1884. The brand is known for high-precision timepieces, the development of the wrist chronograph, and an uncompromising commitment to its design values;

• Swiss watch company Hublot, which was founded on the idea of “the art of fusion,” seamlessly combining exotic materials with its Swiss watchmaking tradition; and

• Swiss watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen, which has been producing timepieces of lasting value, with a clear focus on technology and development, since 1868.

Bringing the three world-class watch brands to Scottsdale Fashion Square is one of the nation’s leading independent jewelers, Hyde Park. “What Macerich is doing to heighten the luxury presentation at Scottsdale Fashion Square makes it a terrific setting for these exclusive watch brands,” said Michael Pollak, owner of Hyde Park. “We look forward to opening this beautiful new set of stores later this year.”

Scottsdale Fashion Square is the region’s definitive home for luxury retail with a wide array of top global brands and polished experiences. Recently, the center announced recommitments from Tiffany & Co., Jimmy Choo, Omega, Louis Vuitton and St. John, and a first-to-market presence coming soon for contemporary favorite Trina Turk. As well, luxury leader Escada recently opened a brand-new store at the upscale property and Saint Laurent will open its first Arizona store in the enhanced luxury setting at Scottsdale Fashion Square.

“Breitling, Hublot and IWC are known for masterfully creating some of the world’s finest timepieces,” said Kim Choukalas, Vice President of Leasing for Macerich. “These exclusive boutiques are exactly the right complement for Arizona’s first Saint Laurent store and the sophisticated offerings we are bringing together in this redefined luxury destination.”

The announcement of Breitling, IWC, and Hublot is part of the first phase of the renovation project at Scottsdale Fashion Square, which will update and redefine the luxury wing anchored by Neiman Marcus. The elevated presentation will feature new fine furnishings and finishes, custom artwork, a dedicated luxury valet, resort-level restrooms, and more. Key elements reframing the luxury experience include a striking new north entrance and arrival point, two-story storefronts and destination restaurants with spill-out, café seating. Already announced high-end restaurant concepts include Ocean 44 and Toca Madera.

Scottsdale Fashion Square’s phased renovation project, designed to maximize the property’s position in the heart of upscale Scottsdale, begins with the luxury wing renovation, and will be followed in future phases by the addition of residences, Class A office space, and a hotel.
