The Verde Valley has gained international acclaim as a premier wine destination with dozens of wineries and tasting rooms in the region. On December 10, 2021 the Verde Valley was designated as an American Viticultural Area (AVA).
This esteemed designation identifies the unique geography, topography, soils, and climate (together known as “the terroir”) of the Verde Valley AVA as a federally recognized grape growing region.
“With four beautiful seasons and unique desert climate, it is the ideal place to showcase our Old World style of winemaking that utilizes the unique terroir of Arizona’s high desert vineyards,” the Molins said.
