There is something about a yearly tradition in Fountain Hills that makes it utterly romantic. For years, hundreds of lovebirds have celebrated love on Valentine’s Day alongside several hundred couples as they renew their vows at ‘Love in the Hills,’ and this year it’s back and better than ever. On Friday, February 14th, from 2:00-6:00pm, The Town of Fountain Hills and Sami Fine Jewelry will be hosting a romantic event like no other that attracts pairs from all over Arizona. Whether you are a newlywed or been married for 60 years, ‘Love in the Hills’ is one of the largest vow renewal ceremonies in the world, and takes place in the amphitheater at Fountain Park  with Larry James, a non-demoniattional minister, relationship coach, and the author of the book, “How to Really Love the One You’re With” ministering the event. There will also be live entertainment, along with delicious local food trucks and the Cave Creek Beer Burros.

Stephenie Bjorkman, owner of Sami Fine Jewelry, has made this event possible for several years. “The main focus of the event is to create a fun, unique occasion for people who just want to enjoy Valentine’s Day in the park and or renew their wedding vows,” says Bjorkman. “How great would it be for for Fountain Hills to beat the Guinness Book of World Records and be the largest vow ceremony in the United States? Love in the Hills largest ceremony to date is 884 couples, and the current world record is held by Western Michigan University with over 1201 couples. Celebrating love is the real win, but we would love for Arizona to beat that.”

The festivities will begin at 2:00pm at the amphitheater at Fountain Park along with music by Fred Rutledge, photos around the fountain and with Cave Creek burros. Also, participants will want to come hungry, because there will be food trucks including the Fountain Hills Food Truck, Heavenly Sweets & Treats and Burgers Amore waiting to serve you! From 4:00-4:30pm event goers can watch or participate in “The Newlywed Game,” as local couples will take on others to see who knows most about their partner.

he ceremony will be conducted by Larry James, a full-time professional speaker and author. He is an ordained non-denominational award winning Wedding Officiant and author of five relationship books. He has appeared on and was interviewed by Barbara Walters on ABC TV’s “The View.”

The renewal ceremony is completely FREE to participate in. No official paperwork is needed, but early registration is preferred. You can register anytime at Sami Fine Jewelry in Fountain Hills.

Over a hundred couples have already registered. The first 200 couples to register in person at Sami Fine Jewelry’s storefront will receive a FREE gift bag. Sami’s encourages you to register early, because people who pre-register will automatically be entered to win even more prizes.
