DIY-ers, vintage collectors, thrift store regulars, deal seekers and more, you don’t want to miss this event. Come rummage through vintage, modern, industrial and salvaged goods at this exceptional gathering in Cave Creek — aptly named The Big Heap Vintage and Handmade Festival. The event will be held on November 16 through 18, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

With more than 50 vendors on-sites selling goods, including vintage and homemade jewelry, furniture, decor, clothing, and other knick-knacks and odds-and-ends, you’re bound to walk away with an item or two.

Cave Creek Thieves Market founders Lori Cowherd and Mickey Meulenbeek describe the juried handmade and salvaged goods event as “a lab for the way we live because at The Big Heap, the lost arts aren’t lost.”

The Big Heap is a venture born from the Cave Creek Thieves Market, which, since 2008, has provided independent artists and entrepreneurs with a marketplace where they can benefit from their creativity. The Cave Creek Thieves Market sought out to expand its focus on handmade and salvaged goods.
