Where can you fly over Central Ave. in Downtown Phoenix on a zip line, hang out with the crew from Ghostbusters and meet minions in real life all for free? That’s right, the fall series of City Lights Movie Nights at CityScape Phoenix returns in September!
On the second Friday of every month, guests are encouraged to bring their blankets and chairs to watch a feature film on the big screen at the outdoor movie theater in Patriots Park.
For each movie, close to 1,200 guests attend this free, family friendly event with giveaways, special-themed contests and prizes.
Fall Series Movies Include:
September 9: CityScape will transform into a scene from Gru’s laboratory with a screening of “Minions” on Central Ave. Guests will enjoy fun minion-themed activities and are encouraged to come early to save a spot, run around the splash pad and grab some dinner with the family.
October 14: The event will close down Central Ave. where turf will line the street. In partnership with Arizona Ghostbusters, there will be a special screening of “Ghostbusters” and photo opportunities with the Ghostbuster characters and vehicles. Guests are encouraged to dress up as their favorite character from the movie, with prizes for best dressed.
November 11: Celebrate the 25th Anniversary of “Hook” with a screening of the movie at Patriots Park. For those with an adventurous side, guests can fly like Rufio with a zip line going across Central Ave.
December 9: Get into the Christmas spirit with a double screening of Home Alone II and Elf in Patriots Park and photo opportunities with characters from Elf. Come early to participate in the many giveaways and pre-movie fun, including an appearance from Santa and CitySkate Ice Rink ticket giveaways.
