Everything is going digital, including baseball. The Arizona Diamondbacks added a virtual reality component at Chase Field, which will take fans on a virtual reality journey through the eyes of a MLB player.
The Cox Connects VR Bullpen at Chase Field will create exclusive virtual reality content for D-backs fans to enjoy. There will be new baseball perspectives for fans, such as view catching or hitting off a Major League pitcher, fielding ground balls, catching fly balls or behind-the-scenes access.
The virtual reality area will be in Chase Field’s main concourse in center field. To experience the virtual reality, fans will use a HTC VIVE Virtual Reality headset while other fans will be able to watch the action from TV screens in the area.
The Phoenix office of R&R Partners captured and produced the virtual reality content for the area. New scenes and content will be added to the experience throughout the season.
