Danny Zelisko Presents an evening with Jeff Beck at 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the historic Celebrity Theatre. Opening the show in a special guest solo performance role will be Nils Lofgren, the acclaimed guitarist and vocalist from Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band.

Over the course of Jeff Beck’s illustrious 50-year career, the trailblazing guitarist has earned many accolades.  He’s been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame – twice!  First, as a member of the Yardbirds in 1992 and then again, as a solo artist in 2009. Rolling Stone Magazine ranked him as one of the “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time” and he has earned a total of 8 Grammy Awards. From his time with The Yardbirds, to the Jeff Beck Group and his solo career, Beck’s sound and stylistic exploration has mesmerized fans and critics worldwide.

In the summer of 2016, the guitar virtuoso celebrated 50 years of his musical career with an extraordinary concert at the famous Hollywood Bowl. This concert captured his musical journey, with a set list spanning from Beck’s first Yardbirds’ recordings to recent tracks from 2016’s Loud Hailer. Beck set the stage ablaze with incredible live versions of “For Your Love,” “Beck’s Bolero,” “’Cause We’ve Ended As Lovers,” “Big Block,” “Over Under Sideways Down,” “A Day In The Life,” “Blue Wind” and more. The night also included a legendary list of special guests including Steven Tyler, Billy F. Gibbons, Jan Hammer, Beth Hart and the great Buddy Guy. The show climaxed with all guests delivering a stirring encore performance of “Purple Rain” in tribute to the late Prince.

With LOUD HAILER, Beck’s first new album in six years, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer shifts gears once again for an album packed with topical lyrics that touch upon his concerns about the future. Loud Hailer — another name for a megaphone — is the perfect symbol for the 11 tracks.

Opening the show in a special guest solo performance, Nils Lofgren is a versatile songwriter singer and guitarist. Nils has been working professionally since he was 17. He has toured with Neil Young, Ringo Starr and is currently a member of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band. After fronting the 70’s group Grin, Nils embarked on a solo career and has been a sought after session player.
