So Swift Athletics is a new USATF affiliated Youth Track & Field Club in the Central Phoenix/Biltmore area and trains and mentors athletes ages 5-18.

The club’s mission is to provide a fun and welcoming environment for athletes to have a positive and meaningful experience while learning the fundamentals of track & field.

Coach Tawnie Martin, the founder of So Swift Athletics and a native of Phoenix is a youth track and field coach dedicated to making a positive impact on today’s youth on and off the track. She is a passionate, dedicated, and goal-oriented coach with a proven track record of successfully mentoring and motivating student-athletes to achieve and exceed their goals. She excels in developing and implementing high-level student-athlete environments for teaching, learning, and training proper fundamentals and techniques. Coach Martin has been actively serving in the USA Track & Field Arizona Association for more than 5 years. She is a Level 1 USATF coach, specializing in mid/long-distance and block starts. Coach Martin was previously the sprint coach at Centennial High School from 2018-2019 and is now the sprint coach at Sunnyslope High School.

“I was surprised there was no track club in central Phoenix! We have an untapped market of kids who just need coaching to gain confidence, learn proper form and improve their skills. There is nothing like seeing an athlete who is “good” at running discover their natural talent and take what they learned to be a “great” runner. This is where I thrive and why I enjoy what I do.” – Tawnie Martin, Coach of So Swift Athletics.

Practices are normally Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:15 pm to 6:45 pm. All skill levels are welcome to join.
