The Southwest Cider Festival is returning for a second year to showcase the growing popularity of craft cider in the region. Hosted by Cider Corps in Downtown Mesa on Saturday, October 19 from 3 – 8 pm, the festival will include samples of local and regional ciders, food trucks, music and other activities. The event will be outside Cider Corps at 31 S. Robson St.

People will be able to enjoy ciders from Arizona’s four cideries:  Stoic Cider, Desert Cider House, Crush Craft Cider Co. and Cider Corps. Cideries from California, Texas, Washington, Colorado and New York will also be on hand.

The festival is about letting people discover this new and unique beverage, says Cider Corps co-owner Josh Duren.

“Craft cider is so different from mass produced drinks and even from traditional European ciders,” Duren explained. “We’re experimenting with flavor profiles and techniques that make this a really unique beverage without artificial flavoring or added sugars. The festival is a chance to sample the variety out there and really support the craft cider community.”

VIP tickets are $50 and include early enter from 3 – 4pm, a festival T-shirt, commemorative glass and 20 drink tickets. General Admission tickets are $35 and include a commemorative glass and 15 drink tickets. Tickets for the 2019 Southwest Cider Fest are now on sale at swciderfest2019.eventbrite.com.
