Taking care of four children, Sydney Scott didn’t have the time or budget to have a traditional spa facial. Her husband was “working around the clock,” and her skin was struggling.

“The skin was changing. There were lots of skin shifts,” Scott said. “I was kind of frustrated. Then, I found out about the facial bar concept. I immediately fell in love with having a really focused — but quick — facial experience.”

To make skincare accessible and approachable, the mother of four opened a Face Foundrie franchise at 1835 S. Santan Village Parkway, Suite 115, Gilbert, on March 13.

In addition to 20- to 40-minute facials, Face Foundrie offers lash extensions and brow waxing. Scott also operates studios in Texas and Utah.

Face Foundrie was founded in 2019 by Michele Henry to support her changing skin, hormonal shifts, aging, and pregnancies. Face Foundrie sells custom, curated skincare products.

For Scott, Gilbert was a personal choice. She and her husband have vacationed in Phoenix with their children every spring break for years. “Our hearts are there,” she said. “When we signed on with Face Foundrie, we snatched up that territory immediately. Gilbert is such a great area — great people, and it’s exploding. There’s room for growth.”

Face Foundrie has an open‑concept layout with curtained bays, which are intention. Scott said the design removes the intimidation factor that can come with day spas or medical spas.

“People can feel nervous walking into a traditional spa for the first time. The open-concept design makes it feel casual and part of your routine. You can come as you are.”

The setup also allows for what Face Foundrie calls “face parties” — bachelorette parties, birthday celebrations, girls’ nights and family reunions. Curtains can be pulled back so a group can get facials together. “It creates this energy,” Scott said. “It breaks down walls and makes it feel welcoming.”

Affordability is a core part of the model, Scott explained. The $79 “Facial Maven” plan includes a focused facial plus an enhancement each month, regardless of price, along with 10% off additional services and products. Members also receive a monthly perk, which may include a mini product or a complimentary enhancement.

The “Foundrie Glow” is the brand’s signature service, which promotes oxygenation and boosts circulation “to leave skin refreshed and radiant.” Dermaplaning is a standout add‑on in Gilbert. “You’re not just shaving peach fuzz,” Scott explained. “You’re scraping off that top layer of dead skin, so products absorb deeper and everything feels smoother.”

Scott plans to open two more East Valley locations within the next 18 months, though leases aren’t finalized. “We already have our eyes on other spots,” she said.
