Nation’s Restaurant News, a nationally-renowned and independent publication covering innovation in the food service industry, has recently named Scottsdale-based Hash Kitchen as a 2022 breakout brand and is the only Arizona restaurant brand on the NRN list. Through a nationwide network, Nation’s Restaurant News’ expert editorial team searches for buzzworthy concepts making headlines and visits these restaurants to confirm the hype. The coveted annual list recognizes notable emerging restaurants, ranging from fast-casual brunch to vegan tacos, poised for growth through innovative menus, new brand propositions, and the ability to adapt and thrive through the pandemic.

Founded by celebrity chef, Joey Maggiore, his wife Cristina, and partner Flora Tersigni of The Maggiore Group, Hash Kitchen has become a hotspot in the Phoenix community for its creative culinary remixes on breakfast classics, brunch cocktail program, and build-your-own massive Bloody Marys in a socially vibrant atmosphere. The brunch-centric and hashtag-inspired eatery features a next-level food and beverage program that continually matches the exuberance of the concept to provide guests with a social dining experience that remains unique to the concept.

With the rising popularity of the brunch-party restaurant, Hash Kitchen took its first step to rapid expansion in November 2021 with a $20 million investment from Savory Fund. Since the initial investment, Hash Kitchen has had two additional locations slated to open in 2022– one in Gilbert’s Verde at Cooley Station and another in Peoria’s P83 entertainment, shopping and dining district. Plans for significant local and national growth are on the horizon to establish Hash Kitchen as an emerging chain and a dominant player in the restaurant industry. Hash Kitchen is expected to open 24 new locations by the end of 2024.

“Hash Kitchen, like so many others, faced significant hurdles during the pandemic, but it was a great opportunity to understand our visions and goals for growth,” Co-founder Joey Maggiore said. “We used that time to consider next steps, new partnerships, new innovations and new technologies to leverage for smoother operations– seeing these plans begin to unfold now makes us more excited than ever for the future of Hash Kitchen.”

Hash Kitchen currently has five Phoenix area locations– see website for location information: www.hashkitchen.com. For more information and updates, follow @hashkitchen on Instagram.
