Gold’s Gym, the world’s trusted fitness authority, is returning to the Arizona market for the first time in six years with its newest gym opening in Chandler this spring. The roughly 40,000 square-foot Chandler gym is located at 4950 W. Ray Road in the Sunset Plaza shopping center and will feature state-of-the-art equipment and amenities. This includes two separate turf areas for functional and athletic training, a sauna and pool, massage chairs and a full suite of boutique-style GOLD’S STUDIO classes – GOLD’S FIT, GOLD’S BURN and GOLD’S CYCLE – along with a diverse schedule of group exercise classes, GOLD’S 3D body scanning technology, a Kid’s Club and an expert team of certified Gold’s Gym personal trainers.
The gym’s development is led by owner Jad Awale. Awale, who has an extensive background in franchising, is a first-time franchisee with the Gold’s Gym brand and signed an agreement for the future development of five total locations. The Chandler agreement for the first of those five gyms was finalized at the end of October 2018.
