Bottle Shots 21The Valley’s original gluten-free hot sauce, Madison’s Original Hot Sauce, is proud to announce a partnership with Foothills Food Bank & Resource Center to host a gluten-free food drive.

The drive will start Friday September 13 and run through Monday, September 30. It kicks off September 13 (National Celiac Awareness Day), and the public is invited to drop off items at Whole Foods Market at Scottsdale Road and Mayo Boulevard, and the Gluten Free Country Store in Gilbert. (addresses below)

All food collected will be donated directly to the Foothills Food Bank in Cave Creek, which has recently added a gluten-free division to better serve the increasing number of people at risk of hunger, who also suffer from celiac disease or are gluten-adverse. Low-income families afflicted by celiac disease tend to be burdened by their need for a gluten-free diet, as these items typically are more expensive. Food banks like Foothills in Cave Creek marks one of the first organizations in Arizona to help these families receive the gluten-free items they need in order to maintain a healthy and happy life.

Those who drop of their donations at the designated Whole Foods location from 11a.m. to 2 p.m., will get a taste of Madison’s Original Hot Sauce, as the creator Brad Child will demo the sauce on a variety of gluten-free items.

Needed gluten-free items include quinoa, rice crackers, GF bagels, vegetable stock, rice pasta, dried beans, canned veggies, GF pancake mix, and GF cereals such as Chex and Rice Krispies.
