Be "Pretty In Pink" And Raise Breast Cancer Awareness At The Mint
The month of October calls for gals and guys alike to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness month — just by dressing in pink. And The Mint in Old Town Scottsdale is hosting its “Pretty in Pink” Breast Cancer Awareness party on Thursday, October 4 — so you have a place to wear your LPD or pink polo.
The premier restaurant and ultra-lounge’s Pretty in Pink event will raise funds and awareness for those suffering with breast cancer. The evening’s emcee will be Lyndsie “J” Lou, the host of The Valley Catch, which is a videography company equipped with a Spokesmodel to help and promote local businesses. Lou is also the host of “Destination TV,” an upcoming ABC show. But, attendees may best recognize her from “The Bachelor: Season 16,” as one of the bachelorettes vying for Ben Flajnik’s heart.
Entertainment includes beats by DJ Knick Knack. Specialties pink cocktails will be served, including the Blueberry Margarita, the Elevated Awareness (Hypnotic Harmonie, Chopin Vodka, freshly squeezed lemon juice, topped with champagne and a slice of strawberry served in a flute) and the BCA Sangria (a medley of dry white wine, strawberries, raspberries, lemon, lime and orange infused with Chopin and Hypnotic Harmonie, topped with a splash of ginger ale).
But what makes this cocktails even sweeter is that for every drink sold, $1 will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. It doesn’t stop there, though. Every pink drink sold throughout October will net an additional $1 toward the foundation.
But the big event of the night is the live auction, hosted by Lou. Items include a one-of-a-kind pink dress by Ted Baker, a signed basketball by Suns player Channing Frye, and a signed Jared Dudley jersey. All proceeds from these items will directly benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
