A few Arizonans may be eligible to receive a new dental implant procedure at a greatly discounted price as they help train other dentists to use a new dental implant technique.
Scottsdale dentist Terry Work of Dental Works Family Dentistry is actively seeking patients who need a dental implant to be part of a special workshop he is teaching for his peers.
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that is placed into your jaw to hold a replacement tooth or bridge. The procedure is expensive, often costing around $1,900. But a few lucky patients who qualify will be able to receive a new implant for $699.
“This is a great opportunity for someone who otherwise couldn’t afford a dental implant to receive one,” Dr. Work said. “This new implant placement technique provides excellent aesthetic results, and is a safe and simple protocol for dentists.”
Implant patients wishing to be considered must call the Dental Works office at (480) 391-0099 to schedule a free evaluation to learn if they are a candidate. Chosen individuals will be scheduled for October 16-17, 2015.

The course, entitled “Modern Concepts in Implant Dentistry: Beyond the Morse Taper Connection,” will be held October 15-17 at the Dental Works Family Dentistry office and is presented by the company NEODENT. Dentists who complete the course will receive 20 CE credits.
Dr. Work earned his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Oregon. He continued his dental education at Oregon Health Sciences University. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Navy and served as a Navy Dental Officer for four years before setting up his private practice, Dental Works Family Dentistry in Scottsdale, with his wife and fellow dentist, Mary Ann Work.
With more than 23 years of experience as a practicing dentist, Dr. Work has completed continuing education on a variety of topics and he has mentored for several institutes. He is also a diplomat of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI).
