May the 4th wasn’t born in a galaxy far, far away. It was born in British politics, when Margaret Thatcher supporters dropped the first “May the Fourth Be with You, Maggie” back in 1979. So yes — the most beloved “Star Wars” pun began as a congratulatory message for the prime minister. Use that knowledge wisely, young Padawan. Don’t forget — as if that’s a thing — “The Mandalorian and Grogu” will be released in theaters and IMAX on May 22, 2026. Here are 10 events to celebrate May the 4th this holiday. And may the force be with you.

Cider Corps: ‘Star Wars’ Day fundraiser

A Force for Good fundraiser will support the Honor Great Sacrifice Foundation. People can donate directly to the HGSF and receive entries for a 3D-printed Death Star loaded with prizes, including a happy hour token good for $4 cider pours in the taproom for a year. The drawing will be held at 4 p.m. May 4.
