Vestar, the largest privately held shopping center owner and manager in the western United States, announced the lineup of new retailers coming to The Shops at Lake Pleasant in Peoria. Of the 14-new tenants, six have opened this month with several others slated by the end of 2024. As a result, the shopping complex is nearly 100% leased.

Located off of Happy Valley Road and Lake Pleasant Parkway, The Shops at Lake Pleasant contain nearly 90,000-square-feet of retail space and spans over 15 acres adjacent to the Lake Pleasant Towne Center, another shopping center developed by Vestar. The new retail hot spot will be 100% open and occupied by the Spring of 2025.

Raising Cane’s, Over Easy, Reformed Pilates, European Wax Center, Tropical Smoothie and Visionworks are now open for business. Restore Fitness will open on June 28th and Handel’s Ice Cream is slated to open this July. Salad and Go, OHM Fitness, In-N-Out and Classic & Fancy Nails are scheduled to open by the end of this year. Lastly, Honor Health and Christian Brothers Automotive will open in the Spring 2025.

Vestar sees incredible strategic potential at The Shops at Lake Pleasant, with a population approaching 150,000 and over 55,000 households within a 5-mile radius. Moreover, the average household income within a 1-mile radius is nearly $162,000, demonstrating strong buying power from the area’s residents.

The Shops at Lake Pleasant is situated only 2.3 miles east of the Loop 303. Its home city, Peoria is the 6th largest city in the Phoenix Metropolitan area based on population and is recognized as the 3rd best city in Arizona (13th nationally) for rising housing markets for the number of units built and pricing. The Shops at Lake Pleasant is one of several new shopping centers Vestar has recently built in the Valley, at a combined development cost of nearly $90 million.
