Many of the renowned boutique stores, specialty shops and eateries will feature festive menu items, holiday gift ideas, and themed make-and-take crafts. The Historic Downtown Glendale Charm Trail invites guests to start a bracelet or add to an existing one.
The holiday spirit continues with a Back-to-School Supply drive to benefit the Glendale Elementary School District. Rules, crayons, glue sticks, No. 2 pencils, notebook paper and pencil sharpeners are among the requested items. Drop off donations at the Arizona Information Center. A complete list of needs is here.
A shuttle will transport event attendees throughout the area for free from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Davita Solter, a long-time Glendale resident, narrate and give directions in the shuttle. Sponsored by Glendale Councilmembers Lauren Tolmachoff and Bart Turner, the shuttle stops at Catlin Court and Old Towne, and every 20 minutes at Cerreta Candy Co.
Event admission is free, however, select make-and-take crafts have a nominal fee. All activities take place inside air-conditioned shops and restaurants. Free parking is available in nearby garage at 58th Drive and Palmaire.
