Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa has debuted a data-driven spa experience at Pacific Waters Spa.
In partnership with Evolt Health, the resort has integrated clinical-grade body composition analysis into its treatment offerings.
“At Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach, we are seeing a clear shift in how travelers define wellness,” said Adam Estrella.

“Guests are looking for more than relaxation; they want results they can understand and track,” said Adam Estrella, area spa director at Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa. “By integrating Evolt’s health technology into Pacific Waters Spa, we’re able to move beyond traditional wellness and offer a level of personalization and measurable insight that simply doesn’t exist elsewhere in the destination.”
At the center of the program is the Evolt 360 Body Composition Analyzer, a clinical-grade technology traditionally used by elite athletes, medical professionals and performance-focused wellness programs.
Guests begin their experience with a non-invasive, fully clothed 60-second scan that captures more than 40 clinically validated body composition metrics, including skeletal muscle mass, visceral fat levels, metabolic rate, biological age, fluid balance and inflammation markers. This customized wellness consultation enables spa practitioners to design targeted treatment plans tailored to each guest’s physiology.
For example, Estrella said, guests with elevated visceral fat may be guided toward HaloTherapy infrared sauna and Biologique Recherche lymphatic therapies, while someone focused on recovery may receive LumaNova Red Light Therapy, PEMF Therapy, and CBD massage.
“We’re finding that many of our guests are already familiar with body composition technology, and they’re genuinely curious, especially when they learn about the depth of Evolt’s analysis,” Estrella said.

“One of the features they’re most intrigued by is the Bio-Age, which gives them an easy-to-understand snapshot of their overall wellness. To ensure the experience feels welcome rather than clinical, our wellness concierge guides each guest through the process in a supportive, conversational way, highlighting strengths and explaining how our diverse range of therapies can help them reach their goals.
“Because we have a large community of returning resort guests and more than 250 local spa members, many guests use the Evolt scan as an ongoing check-in tool.”
Kelly Weideman, Evolt Health’s co-founder and chief operating officer, said the partnership reflects a broader shift in how body composition technology is being used, beyond transitional fitness and clinical settings.
“Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach is among the first to bring this level of insight into a luxury resort environment, making it possible for guests to access the same data-driven approach to wellness in a more approachable and experience-driven setting,” Weideman said.
Unlike standalone wellness technologies, Evolt Health’s integration at Pacific Waters Spa is embedded across the entire treatment journey. Recommendations are drawn directly from the spa’s comprehensive menu of services, which includes advanced therapies such as infrared sauna, red light therapy, PEMF recovery, and other holistic treatments.
Guests can continue their wellness journey beyond the treatment room through the Evolt Active app, which provides access to their scan history, personalized nutrition guidance and progression. Repeat scans allow for measurable insights.
