The Original Taste, Arizona’s premier food and beverage celebration, returns to the Scottsdale Waterfront in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale. Presented by the Executive Council Charities, the event brings together more than 40 of the Valley’s best restaurants, more than 100 wines from around the world, select brands of beer and premium spirits, entertainment and a not-to-be-missed scene — all in support of local youth charities.

On April 28, an expected 4,000 attendees — from wine and food enthusiasts and business influencers to community leaders — will mix and mingle at the Waterfront to experience the Original Taste, while enjoying some of the most delectable bites and beverages served up by some of the Valley’s most popular drinking and dining establishments — including T. Cook’s, Tarbell’s, Sushi Roku, Sonata’s Restaurant, Sol Mexican Cocina, Postino, Olive & Ivy, Casa Migos, RNR, Stock & Stable and more.

The event begins at 7:00 p.m. and features tastes and live entertainment. VIP ticket holders are invited to attend the Original Taste exclusive VIP after party from10:00 p.m. to midnight, including Late Night with the Executive Council 70, live music, spinning DJs and a night-owl atmosphere. Early-bird general admission is $75 per ticket prior to March 15, then $125 after. VIP tickets begin at $225 per ticket prior to March 15, then increase to $275.

The Original Taste, which began in 1975, is presented by the members of Executive Council 70 and benefits Executive Council Charities (ECC). Proceeds from the Original Taste help fund critical youth programs at organizations like Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale, Ryan House, Foundation for Blind Children, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Jewish Family & Children’s Service, Sojourner Center, New Pathways for Youth, UMOM New Day Centers, Child Crisis Arizona and more.

In the past year alone, proceeds from The Original Taste and other Executive Council events helped Executive Council Charities contribute more than $1.5 million to 125 youth-based charities in Arizona. Marketing Chair Casey Charpio says, “The Original Taste is a fabulous event that offers a ‘taste’ of the finest dining, drinking and entertainment in the valley combined with supporting a good cause — helping local children in need.”
