Wexford Developments purchased the property in 2019. The asset is comprised of 127,000-square-feet and is a mix of retail and office space, along with a movie theater, all of which is situated on 6.2 acres of land in the heart of downtown Tempe.
he new restaurant concept, which has not been revealed, will occupy 7700-square feet, plus a patio. It will feature two concepts under one roof: a chef-driven New American restaurant and a craft cocktail bar. No other details or descriptions are available at this time.
This will be Pretty Decent Concepts’ first establishment in Tempe. Owner Teddy Myers calls it one of the most significant investments on Mill Avenue in recent years.
“When we were looking for our next project, we wanted a marquee space in a location that could define a community,” Myers said. “We’re excited for the opportunity to embrace Tempe’s potential and have a hand in sculpting its future, just as we did in helping shape Downtown Phoenix’s identity. We are aiming to create a concept that is authentic to Pretty Decent Concepts’ legacy of meticulous attention to detail and design, but is still unique to Mill Ave.”
Pretty Decent Concepts is the first in a series of high-end changes that Wexford Developments plans to bring to Centerpoint on Mill.
“Tempe continues to evolve from what has historically been a college town into a mix of professionals and students. Downtown Tempe has experienced a tremendous amount of development activity with the addition of thousands of luxury apartments, hotels, and Class A office space. This activity has been a game changer for the area and has created the opportunity for operators like Pretty Decent Concepts to bring an upscale concept to Mill Avenue. We are thrilled to be partnering with the Pretty Decent Concepts team and see this exciting project come to fruition,” said Sam Gordon, co-founder and principal of Wexford Developments.
Construction on the new concepts has not started yet and is currently still in the design phase. The concepts are expected to open in Summer 2024.
Wexford Developments currently has offices in West Palm Beach, FL, New York, NY and Calgary, Canada.
