Mountain Shadows is the $100 million new boutique resort coming to Paradise Valley, Ariz., adjacent to Scottsdale. It will debut nearly 40,000 square feet of meeting and event space when it opens in early 2017. The luxurious resort will quickly become one of the most sought after venues for groups seeking high end amenities, impeccable service and an unparalleled setting.

With 12,500 square feet of bright indoor space and 25,000 square feet of scenic outdoor space, Mountain Shadows will accommodate events for up to 500 people. It will be the perfect destination for events ranging from upscale corporate retreats to picturesque weddings.

Meeting spaces will include two modern ballrooms, three meeting rooms, two fully appointed boardrooms and five scenic outdoor spaces. The 10,000-square-foot putting green is a unique space for receptions and events, while the centerpiece of the resort will be the 4,000-square-foot Camelback Overlook event deck with a built-in bar.

The interior design is inspired by 1950s modernism; elements will include sleek furniture, industrial light fixtures, geometric décor and local artwork. Floor-to-ceiling glass throughout the resort will flood interior spaces with natural light and showcase unmatched views of Camelback Mountain. The 4,500-square-foot Paradise Ballroom will feature a retracting glass wall opening to the lush Paradise Terrace, allowing guests to seamlessly flow throughout the 9,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor space.

At Mountain Shadows, meeting space technology will be equally as important as the ambience. Top-of-the-line tech features will include 75-inch televisions and roll-down projection screens, along with plug-in house sound and Wi-Fi in all indoor meeting spaces. Wall-mounted iPads will function as reader boards, providing unique capabilities for personalization.

Ingredient driven catering offerings crafted by renowned Chef Charles Wiley will be presented with sophistication on beautiful, modern china and linens. Plated, buffet and station catering packages will be topped off with decadent dessert options, accompanied by coffee from local Press Coffee Roasters.

Completely rebuilt from the ground up by Westroc Hospitality and Woodbine Development, Mountain Shadows will also feature 183 modern guest rooms, including a presidential suite facing Camelback Mountain. An additional wing with 42 resort condominiums and suites will open in fall 2017. Guests can enjoy a full-service restaurant, two pools, a high-tech fitness facility, a juice bar, an 18-hole golf and lounge and a boutique featuring local goods.

Mountain Shadows is in the heart of Paradise Valley at 5445 E. Lincoln Dr. The serene desert landscape and calm residential streets offer a peaceful respite from typical buzzing tourist towns. Yet the property is still close to Scottsdale’s finest shopping, dining, hiking and attractions, providing guests the opportunity for both adventure and relaxation. Regardless of the group size or length of stay, Mountain Shadows guests will experience only the finest accommodations, service and ambience.
