One of the most anticipated new additions to Old Town Scottsdale is finally here. Social Tap Eatery officialy opened its rooftop bar lounge, The Balcony, on Friday, April 5.

The new upstairs patio is designed to be a total departure from the Social Tap atmosphere on the first floor. The Balcony is tailored to a more laid-back evening setting with a dash more sophistication than the let-the-good-times-roll vibe downstairs. The downstairs space is a beloved social hangout with a breezy open bar, sports on crisp flat screen TVs, and backyard pub games on the patios. The Balcony, however, is meant to be a more reserved rooftop wine and cocktail lounge with 1,800 square-feet of beautiful views. It’s designed to be its own standalone events space with plush lounge chairs, its own bar, DJ booth, and fireplace. The Balcony gives some separation from Social Tap below, and it’s open for private bookings and parties.

“We couldn’t be more excited to unveil The Balcony to everyone—we have been working on this concept for a while now. Old Town Scottsdale really needed a rooftop concept, so we knew we had to give everyone that open air hangout spot we all want. The Balcony is the perfect addition to the Social Tap atmosphere,” says Steve McDonald, managing partner at Social Tap.

Social Tap applies a heavy emphasis on highlighting craft local beer and fresh, high quality ingredients, becoming a beloved local mainstay since opening in 2016. The restaurant brings inspired scratch-made recipes, bold cocktails and a laid-back, fun-first ambiance under one roof, offering Old Town revelers a place where the good times and great food meet. The mainstream casual dining hotspot is located at Drinkwater Blvd. and 5th Avenue.
