The Craftsman Cocktails and Kitchen, specializing in hand-crafted cocktails and creative classic tastes, is set to open to the public on Thursday, Oct. 15 located in Hayden Peak Crossing retail center at 2469 N. Hayden Road. The new concept aims to serve as the Valley’s go-to neighborhood joint, a place welcome to friends and family looking to indulge in unique takes on traditional dishes, hand-crafted cocktails, wine, and craft beers in a comfortable atmosphere.

The Craftsman was inspired by a hardworking farmer and grandfather who loved his family, the land, and working with his hands. The spirit and traditions of American craftsmanship live on through the inventive dishes, and the ‘come as you are’ attitude. The Craftsman will be headed by Chef Christopher Nicosia, an Arizona Culinary Hall of Fame Inductee and former Executive Chef of Sassi in Scottsdale.

“Our menu is unlike anything even seasoned foodies have seen before,” said chef Nicosia. “The Craftsman puts a modern twist on conventional American dishes. From infusing dishes with craft beer and in-house distilled spirits, to including as many locally grown ingredients as possible, this menu allows me to pair quality with creativity.”

The innovative menu will feature American dishes with global flavors brought locally and aims to be familiar but not predictable. Menu highlights include: house-made lamb belly sausage flatbread, beet caprese salad with farro, Craftsman tuna poke sandwich, bone-in volcano pork, wood oven roasted desert branzino, and more. Select entrees and desserts will be infused with in-house distilled spirits and craft beers. The Craftsman will also feature its own line of distilled spirits, including vodka, gin, rum, barrel-aged amaro, bourbon, and coffee liqueur. Bottles of Craftsman Distillers spirits will be available for sampling, as well as to purchase and take home.

At The Craftsman, quality meets creativity and aims to create the perfect balance between comfortable, yet lively dining experiences. The Craftsman invites customers to dine in-person and/or place takeout orders on its opening day. To adhere with COVID-19 safety and health guidelines, they will also be utilizing their large space to spread tables out for social distancing, outdoor dining, and keeping their large garage windows open whenever possible.
