Scottsdale Fashion Square is expanding its culinary lineup, transforming the luxury shopping center into a dining and retail hotspot.
Scottsdale Fashion Square has been a longtime luxury shopping staple in the Valley (and state). Now, this retail mecca is also recognized as a premier upscale dining destination. New and diverse upscale restaurants are enticing visitors near and far. It’s no longer a question of, “Should we have dinner at Scottsdale Fashion Square?” It’s “Where should we have dinner at Scottsdale Fashion Square?”
How Scottsdale Fashion Square became a dining destination
There have always been ample dining options at Scottsdale Fashion Square, but additions like Nobu, Ocean 44 and Toca Madera have turned the tide in upscale lunch and dinner offerings. These arrivals are part of an ongoing strategy to blend the best of both Scottsdale Fashion Square: luxury shopping and upscale dining, all in one destination.
“We wanted to bring the same level of retail sophistication and vibrancy to the food and beverage offerings,” says Cameron Done, vice president of leasing for Macerich. “The restaurant collection is now a destination in its own right, not just an amenity for shoppers.”
More luxury dining has arrived (with more to come)
Continuing to expand Scottsdale Fashion Square’s diverse dining lineup is something Done says remains a top priority. “We want to make sure we’re checking all the boxes for the consumer and what the customer wants.”
Listening to what visitors want to accompany their shopping experience has brought a diverse mix of luxury dining concepts, including:
- Élephante: Pairs Mediterranean flavors with handcrafted cocktails to provide patrons with the best in elevated dining.
- Bar Bambino: Offers an intimate speakeasy experience, conveniently tucked behind Élephante.
- Society Swan: Blends Sam Fox’s French-inspired fare with classic cuisine, champagne lunches, $10 martini happy hour and an elegant setting, catering to lunch and dinner guests.
- Telefèric Barcelona: Serves a wide variety of tapas, signature paellas, pintxos and an extensive Spanish wine program.
- Din Tai Fung: Celebrates culinary Taiwanese-inspired cuisine such as handmade soup dumplings (xiao long bao) with an interactive, open-kitchen experience.
- Catch: A globally inspired menu of seafood, sushi and steak, combined with excellent service and an energetic vibe.
“We’ve been making sure we have a diverse mix of dining options, where we’re not duplicating the same types of genres, concepts and cuisines,” Done notes.
From shopping or dining to shopping and dining
Visitors have more reason than ever to extend their time at Scottsdale Fashion Square, making their visit less of a shopping or dining stop and more of a full-day experience.
In addition to top culinary concepts, Scottsdale Fashion Square’s dining scene has upped the ante in experiential offerings. New and existing restaurants invite guests to experience a mix of indoor-outdoor atmospheres, seasonal menus and one-of-a-kind activations (such as prix fixe menus and unique chef-driven events).

“We’re going to be bringing in more new culinary concepts in 2027,” Done says.
Done’s parting gift to Scottsdale Fashion Square foodies: “We’ll continue to monitor what’s out there, and if we see something that we don’t have, or that the consumer wants, we’ll go after it, making sure we have the best- in-class, in both retail and restaurants.”
