Nestled atop The Westin Tempe, Skysill Chalet emerges as an enchanting retreat that artfully blends the charm of a rustic cabin with the hotel’s elegance of elevated design. This seasonal experience, running from Monday, Nov. 20 to Sunday, Jan. 7, transcends guests into a mountainside cottage above Mill Avenue with plaid accents, a fireplace adorned with a pine wreath and stockings, Christmas trees, twinkling lights and festive decorations – all complemented by the panoramic, skyline views of the Phoenix metropolitan. The chalet’s ambiance is cemented with themed cocktails and shareable small bites to be enjoyed alongside a selection of classic board games while the cheerful sounds of holiday movies and music play in the background. With reservations available every even hour from 4 to 10 p.m., Monday through Sunday, a candlelit table starts at $20 per person.

With each 90-minute reservation, guests will enjoy a Campfire S’more Macaron and a Hot Cocoa Bomber. Guests can keep toasty with the chalet’s Winter Warmers, including the Polar Espresso Martini ($16) hand-crafted with Hanson’s Organic Vodka, Borghetti Espresso Liqueur, crème de menthe, nitro cold brew and peppermint candy; the Mistletoe Margarita ($17) mixed with Derechito Blanco, Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur, cranberry, fresh lime and agave; or the Snowbird Sipper ($16) served hot with Appleton Estate Signature Rum, brown sugar, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, sea salt and vanilla.

“For our first winter pop-up, we envisioned creating a picturesque lodge experience in downtown Tempe,” said Anthony Esparza, director of food and beverage at The Westin Tempe. “To complete the experience, we elevated Skysill staples with a festive touch to create a delectable dining experience perfect for sharing with loved ones this holiday season.”

Additionally, Skysill Chalet features its Cabin Cuisine curated by Executive Chef Mario Ventura, who also helms the hotel’s Terra Tempe Kitchen & Spirits. Boasting a variety of handhelds and snacks, favorites include the Jolly Chorizo Fondue ($18) crafted with pretzel knots, andouille sausage, ranch potato chips and popcorn chicken; “Mistletoe” Lobster Mac & Cheese ($16) with cavatappi pasta covered in white cheddar cheese sauce topped with herb panko breadcrumbs; and Sleigh Bell Wagyu Sliders ($18) made with roasted garlic aioli, smoked gouda, caramelized onion, arugula, roasted red peppers on a pretzel bun served with fries.

In addition to the public sessions, buyouts for parties and events with a maximum capacity of 30 people are also available Monday to Sunday.
