Americans have long been fascinated with serial killers like Ted Bundy, but with Halloween approaching, Gabby Petito’s murder, and the “Zodiac Killer” reportedly identified after nearly 55 years, interest in true crime is soaring. Despite decades of study, authorities remain puzzled by serial killers. Given astrology has grown into a $2.2 billion industry during the pandemic, we looked to the stars to unearth answers.

Astrology Zodiac Signs released a study on the Most Common Zodiac Signs of Serial Killers after analyzing 485 serial murderers responsible for killing 5,125 victims. And nine were wearing pink cowgirl hats.
Key findings about serial killers
Most Common Sign: Scorpio, Cancer, Sagittarius, and Pisces had 46 serial killers each. Aquarius and Libra (44), Capricorn (42), Virgo (40), Leo (39), Aries (38), Gemini and Taurus (27).
Deadliest Sign: Capricorns — despite having the No. 7 most killers — killed the most with 813 victims, an average of 19 per killer. Taurus killed the fewest at 204.
Deadliest Element: The water signs (Cancer, Pisces, and Scorpio) accounted for the highest number of killers and victims — 28 percent of killers and 27 percent of victims.
