West Virginia covers some rugged ground. From the Northern Panhandle down to the coalfields, getting across the state isn’t always quick. But that distance doesn’t have to stop you from playing the Lottery. Whether you’re in Charleston, Weirton, or somewhere deep in a holler with a good signal, iPLAY WV Lottery puts the West Virginia Lottery right in your pocket.

Here’s what you need to know about playing in-store and online in the Mountain State.

What is iPLAY?

iPLAY is the official digital platform of the West Virginia Lottery. It’s state-regulated, secure, and built specifically for West Virginia players. This isn’t a third-party app. It’s the same Lottery you know, accessible from your phone or computer.

You can download the iPLAY app from the App Store. Android users can get it directly through the official West Virginia Lottery website.

To play, you’ll need to register an account, verify your identity, and be physically located within West Virginia state lines at the time of purchase. You must also be 18 or older.

What can you play online?

Through iPLAY, you can play draw-based games including POWERBALL©, MEGA MILLIONS®, LOTTO AMERICA©, Daily 3, Daily 4, Cash25, and the newly launched Millionaire for Life™. iNSTANTS – the West Virginia Lottery’s digital instant games – are available online, too.

It’s worth noting that Ca$h Pop and KENO GO BONUS are not available to play online. Scratch-off tickets can’t be played through iPLAY either, though you can scan them using the app to check results and enter second-chance drawings.

Features worth knowing about

iPLAY comes with a handful of tools that give you more control over how you play.

Auto-renewal lets you set up recurring entries for your chosen draw-based game, so you never miss a draw. The Jackpot Threshold Auto Renewal feature goes a step further. Available for POWERBALL©, MEGA MILLIONS®, and LOTTO AMERICA©, it automatically purchases a ticket when the jackpot for your selected game hits a threshold you set yourself. It’s a “set it and forget it” approach for players who want to stay in the game on their own terms.

You can also set player-controlled deposit limits directly through the app, giving you a straightforward way to manage your budget. Payment options include PayPal alongside standard methods.

The PlayON loyalty program

When you play through iPLAY, you can earn points through PlayON, the West Virginia Lottery’s loyalty program.

Playing in-store

Licensed WVL retailers across the state carry the full range of draw-based games and scratch-offs, but not iNSTANTS, or the promotions and safety features available online.

Every play supports West Virginia

Whether you play in-store or online, every West Virginia Lottery ticket contributes to the state. Since 1986, the Lottery has generated over $4.1 billion for education, including $625.8 million toward the PROMISE Scholarship Program. Senior services have received $1.8 billion, and $1.5 billion has gone towards tourism and state parks over that same period. When you play, the state wins too.

Play responsibly. Set a budget, know the odds, and use the tools available to you. If you or someone you know needs support, call 1-800-GAMBLER.
