Small Giants expands visual media team
Small Giants, LLC., a full-service marketing and business development agency in Phoenix and Denver, has hired Kaden Buchanan as the team’s visual media specialist to serve commercial real estate, architecture, construction and engineering clients.
“Kaden is extremely talented in animation and motion graphics. We are thrilled to have him join our growing team, which will allow us to expand video initiatives and pursuits, as well as diversify our motion graphic and animation offerings for clients,” said Danielle Feroleto, founder and president of Small Giants.
As visual media specialist, Buchanan will work to uncover each client’s vision and breathe life into their ideas through visual storytelling. Kaden brings seven years of video production, motion graphics and animation experience to the team through his previous work in the auto remarketing, oil and gas industries. In addition to production, he has been responsible for script development, video editing, and graphics creation. He is currently working to become UAS certified and an Adobe Certified Expert.
“My approach is to not only focus on producing the best possible content for our clients, but to build relationships with them. I want to know our clients forward and backward so that with each video we produce, our client’s spirit shines through,” said Buchanan.
CCS Presentation Systems names VP of logistics
CCS Presentation Systems, one of the largest audio-visual integrators in the country, has appointed Victor Valliere vice president of logistics.
With expertise in emergency management and public safety, Valliere will be responsible for overseeing the high-voltage electrical and service departments as well as managing the warehouse.
“We are pleased to have Victor join our team,” said John Godbout, founder and CEO of CCS Presentation Systems. “His extensive experience with technology and leadership in the corporate environment will be an asset to the company and our employees.”
Most recently, Valliere served as executive vice president of Technology Providers, where he led business development and compensation strategy. Previously, Valliere served as director of administrative services at the Scottsdale Fire Department.
New faculty join UA Department of Pediatrics
Three physicians have joined the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson and Banner Children’s – Diamond Children’s Medical Center. They are:
Asmaa Abu-Maziad, MD, joined the Division of Nephrology as a clinical assistant professor. As a pediatric nephrologist, she will provide care for children with a variety of kidney problems and disorders at Banner Children’s – Diamond Children’s Medical Center and Banner – Diamond Children’s Multispecialty Services.
Dr. Abu-Maziad has special interest in glomerular diseases and renal genetics. Her research focus is the molecular basis of glomerular diseases (nephrotic syndrome in particular). She earned her medical degree from Suez Canal University School of Medicine (Egypt) and then completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of Hawaii. She went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric nephrology from the University of Texas Southwestern School of Medicine and University of California Los Angles (UCLA).
Dr. Abu-Maziad is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
M. Raphaelle Jean, MD, MPH, joined the Division of Gastroenterology and Nutrition as an assistant professor. As a pediatric gastroenterologist, Dr. Jean will care for children with nutritional and gastrointestinal disorders of the stomach, intestines, pancreas and liver at Banner – Diamond Children’s Medical Center and Banner – Diamond Children’s Multispecialty Services.
Dr. Jean earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine (Grenada, West Indies) and then completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – NJMS campus, as well as a Master’s in Public Health degree from the School of Public Health at the State University of New York at Albany. She went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Under the mentorship of Drs. Chelly Dykes and Ted Denson, her quality improvement research focused on improving hepatitis B immunization rates among patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease, receiving infliximab immunosuppressant therapy.
Dr. Jean has a special interest in inflammatory bowel disease, functional GI disorders, motility disorders and quality improvement science/research.
Christine Legler, MD, joined the Division of General Pediatrics as a clinical assistant professor. She will provide general pediatric services for children at Banner – University Medicine Multispecialty Services – North Hills.
Dr. Legler earned her medical degree from Brown University (Providence, R.I.) and then completed her residency in pediatrics at National Capital Consortium, National Naval Medical Center, and Walter Reed Army Medical Center (Bethesda, Md.).
Dr. Legler, who has special interest in childhood development and behavioral issues, is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and also is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support by the American Heart Association.
