MacQueen & Gottlieb adds Brandon Bodea

MacQueen & Gottlieb, PLC, (M&G) one of Arizona’s leading real estate law firms, has added Brandon Bodea as its newest attorney. Bodea, who has served as a law clerk at the firm for the past 18 months, will focus on the real estate and property law practice areas.

Bodea graduated Magna Cum Laude with his Juris Doctor degree from Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law in May 2018 and passed the state bar exam in October. He graduated 10th in his class of 206, putting him in the top five percent of his class and was the articles editor for the Arizona State Law Journal. He received a full tuition waiver based on his undergraduate academic standing and his LSAT scores.

He also was presented the Dean’s Award for outstanding performance at Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law and received four CALI Excellence for the Future Awards: for Professional Responsibility; Real Estate and Business Valuation; Construction Law and Trust Law.  Upon graduating, he was formally accepted as a member of the Order of the Coif honor society.

New vice president will join Banner Health

Banner Health has announced that Kathy Kuhlenbeck will begin her journey with the organization as its new vice president of Service Line Growth and Development, beginning Feb. 11. Kuhlenbeck will have responsibility for developing strategies that grow Banner Health’s key service line initiatives.

“Kathy brings tremendous healthcare experience to this role, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome her to our Banner Health family,” said Scott Nordlund, Banner Health’s chief strategy and growth officer. “Kathy will be coming to us from her role as system vice president of strategy and business integration for SSM Health, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. She has been responsible for strategic planning, service line strategy development, as well as mergers and acquisitions support and integration, with an emphasis on growth and partnerships.”

Prior to healthcare, Kuhlenbeck’s professional experience includes terms as senior vice president of financial planning for Panera Bread, manufacturing division chief financial officer for Angelica (a health care manufacturing and marketing apparel company) as well as chief financial officer of Bachrach Clothing. She holds a master’s degree in social work from the University of Missouri – St. Louis and a CPA designation.

Pinnacle Transplant Technologies adds CEO

Pinnacle Transplant Technologies, a regenerative medical company with a focus on providing safe, quality driven products to improve lives through innovation, collaboration, and teamwork, today announced the addition of Roger Rose as Chief Executive Officer.

Ducey appoints director of Arizona State Parks & Trails

Gov. Doug Ducey announced the appointment of Robert Broscheid as the director of Arizona State Parks & Trails.

Since 2013, Broscheid has served under Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper as the director and chief executive officer of Colorado Parks & Wildlife, where he focused on improving conservation and sustainability initiatives and strengthening public-private partnerships to improve customer experiences. Prior to his work in Colorado, Broscheid served at the Arizona Game and Fish Department for 18 years, including as the deputy director for the agency from 2008-20013.

Under Bob’s leadership, Colorado produced the first comprehensive and broad-based Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan to further outdoor recreation and the conservation of natural resources into the future. Bob also led efforts to expand access to Colorado’s state parks, establishing programs to connect young and underserved populations and their families to outdoor and recreational opportunities.

“With Bob’s extensive leadership background in wildlife and outdoor management, I am pleased that he will be back in Arizona working to protect our natural parks and promote our recreational assets,” said Governor Ducey. “Arizona offers the most spectacular state parks of anywhere in the country. Ducey appoints new director of gaming

Gov. Doug Ducey announced the appointment of Ted Vogt as the director of the Arizona Department of Gaming, following his tenure serving as interim director of Arizona State Parks & Trails.

Director Vogt has an extensive background in state government, having served as Governor Ducey’s first chief of operations, director of Veterans Affairs, and executive director of the Arizona Corporation Commission. Director Vogt has provided critical leadership at a time of transition within State Parks & Trails as the interim director.

“Ted is a proven leader and has the experience and knowledge needed to build a strong and successful team,” said Governor Ducey. “Ted is widely respected across state government for his professionalism, and I’m proud to appoint him as the next director of the Arizona Department of Gaming.”

“I’m honored and excited to continue serving Arizonans in this new role and have the opportunity to work with the dedicated men and women of the Department of Gaming,” said Director Vogt. “I look forward to getting to work from day one to ensure proper oversight of the gaming industry and improve services for Arizona citizens.”
