Gather your friends, family, and coworkers and enjoy a beautiful walk around the Phoenix Zoo while supporting the mission to find effective treatments for autism!
Come out and participate in the ZooWalk for Autism Research held at the Phoenix Zoo from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5. The purpose of the walk is to raise funds for ASU’s Autism/Asperger’s Research Program.
The cost is $25 for adults (includes a t-shirt), $15 for teens and it is free for ages 12 and under. All participants will receive a wristband to enjoy all-day zoo admittance.
This year’s Zoo Walk is dedicated to raising funds for a 1-year multi-treatment study for children and adults with autism.

The 2012 ZooWalk raised over $100,000 cash, and had over $200,000 in donations of medical testing and nutritional supplements. Due to your support, they will be able to complete their 12-month multi-treatment study to help many children and adults with
autism in Arizona!
ASU’s Autism/Asperger’s Research Program’s focus is primarily on biomedical issues, including nutritional deficiencies, heavy metal toxicity, and bacterial/yeast overgrowths in the gut. However, we strongly recommend that a combination of biomedical, behavioral, therapy and educational interventions be used to best help children and adults with autism spectrum disorder. The ZooWalk for Autism Research is an annual walk held to raise funds for Autism/Asperger’s Research program at ASU. The walk is a family-oriented gathering that anyone can join, including children, adults, grandparents, students, corporate teams and more. This year’s Zoo walk is dedicated to raising funds for a 1-year multi-treatment study for children and adults with autism. This study will involve a combination of special vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, carnitine (to boost energy metabolism), and special diet (gluten-free, casein-free) that we believe will significantly help many individuals.
