Avnet among Fortune’s Most Admired Companies

Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), a global technology distributor, was named to FORTUNE magazine’s “World’s Most Admired Companies” list for 2016 in the wholesalers: electronics and office equipment category.

FORTUNE continues to recognize Avnet for its management and leadership in key areas, such as investment value, financial strength, quality and social responsibility.

FORTUNE rankings are considered the “definitive report card on corporate reputations,” and they are based on surveys completed by executives, directors and analysts. Within the surveys, participants are asked to rate companies in their industry based on specific criteria from investment value to social responsibility.

To make the list Avnet had to rank in the top half of its industry.
