Linthicum has been awarded a Gold Nugget Grand Award, the top honor in the building industry, for the construction of Kukui`ula Clubhouse and Spa in Hawaii’s newest world-class luxury community on the island of Kauai.

Linthicum earned the prestigious award for Best Public/Private Recreational Use Resort Project for its role as the general contractor for Kukui`ula which was selected from 14 Western states and international entries for builder excellence by the Pacific Coast Builders Conference.

Linthicum built the 80,000 SF Kukui`ula Clubhouse and Spa which was designed with a traditional Hawaiian plantation architectural style to preserve and reflect the local heritage while creating the next level of a luxurious, yet comfortable Hawaiian environment.

Oz Architects of Scottsdale designed the award-winning Kukui’ula Clubhouse and Spa.

Located on Kauai’s southern coast adjacent to the renowned Poipu Beach across 1,000 acres, the luxury Kukui`ula Clubhouse and Spa is comprised of the following main elements built on a graduating hillside: the Plantation House with a two-level spa including indoor/outdoor treatment rooms, an extensive fitness area, movement studio, lap pool, all-glass steam pavilion room and lava-walled showers; lagoon-style swimming pool and entertainment pavilion; golf course clubhouse; indoor/outdoor restaurant; and children’s club.

The Gold Nugget’s judging committee stated that the Kukui’ula Clubhouse “represents the next evolution of the private lifestyle club.”

“It is truly an honor and very gratifying to know that our team efforts to build the upscale Kukui`ula Clubhouse and Spa, setting a new standard for a luxurious private golf community, has been recognized by this major industry award,” said Linthicum CEO, Eric Linthicum.
