Best leadership quality: “Decisiveness. In any situation, in any of the businesses we run, I have the ability to make informed decisions even in uncertain situations. I feel this helps the team around me have confidence that the decisions being made are correct and we can go into action with confidence. I like to instill trust and create a culture where action can lead to meaningful outcomes.”
Best result of leadership: “Empowerment. I want an environment where the stakeholders in charge of the different facets of our businesses feel comfortable stepping up and owning their space. I try and provide as much clarify and vision but I want to empower my team to help shape these companies into what they are and what they can be.”
Trend to watch: “Technology adoption by the commercial real estate community will be a major trend in 2025. On the design side we are seeing AI generated design tools help lead designers quickly create several options for potential project. On the build side the use of AI will help increase efficiency in scheduling the predictive analytics and on the development side AI can assist with forecasting trends, pricing and demand.”
2025 outlook: “Capital markets will continue to rebound in 2025 as interest rates potentially decrease. This will likely lead to increased capital flow and transaction volumes. The increase will vary based on asset type. Logistics and industrial should remain strong driven by continued e-commerce growth and supply chain realignment. We have expanded our retail footprint as of late since that market saw virtually no new construction for several years and is experiencing record low vacancy rates.”
