Alliance Residential Company, the second largest multifamily developer and seventh largest multifamily manager in the nation, will invest $1.4 million toward its Regional Managers earning an Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) Certified Property Manager® designation and provide a $10,000 salary increase, once the designation is officially obtained.

“We are giving associates the opportunity to hone their skill sets, advance their careers and earn more money by taking advantage of our partnership with IREM to earn a CPM designation,” said Rachel Davidson, senior vice president of performance for Alliance Residential Company. “As a recognized symbol of expertise within the industry, we want to make it easy for our associates to pursue this distinction and continue to set themselves apart as leaders in real estate and within the business sector at large, so we pay the education costs for the CPM designation and make coursework available to associates through our internal learning management platform.”

In 2018, Alliance is setting a goal to have 90-percent of its Regional Managers obtain or begin the process of obtaining this prestigious designation. Last year, four Regional Managers successfully earned the designation. Fourteen others completed coursework and are in the final phase to obtain their official credentials.

By creating opportunities for professional development, Alliance brings to life its commitment to “do right by people,” a cornerstone of the company’s ethos. In addition to its IREM partnership, the company also invests in other professional development opportunities that benefit the more than 3,100 Alliance associates across the nation, including Dale Carnegie sales training.

“We think like an innovator, and understand that development from within translates to company growth and success, and helps us attract and retain top talent in an increasingly competitive business environment,” added Davidson. “This is just one part of a larger engagement campaign that spans multiple branches of the organization, and touches on our culture, performance and innovation.”
