RED Development announced that it is nearing completion on a multimillion-dollar redevelopment of The Shops at Norterra in Phoenix that will welcome new tenants later this year.

The redeveloped area is located near Harkins Norterra 14 Theatre and encompasses approximately 44,500 square-feet that is now designed to accommodate an entertainment and dining district with 37,000 square-feet of leasable space and 7,500 square-feet of outdoor restaurant patios. The former area was two retail buildings.

“The Shops at Norterra is a thriving mixed-use destination in North Phoenix with first-in-class retailers and restaurants,” said Scott Rehorn, partner at RED. “We noticed a need in the neighborhood to repurpose existing retail buildings and create a more communal, social area for eating, drinking and gathering in a well-designed, welcoming space. Our vision has really come to life and we think our guests will enjoy the new atmosphere.”

Norterra is anchored by Dick’s Sporting Goods, Best Buy and Harkins Theatres. Other popular tenants include Victoria’s Secret, Bath & Body Works, Mellow Mushroom, Sauce Pizza & Wine, Pita Jungle, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Texas Roadhouse, V’s Barbershop, Elevate Coffee, Charming Charlie, BevMo!, Anytime Fitness and Cyclebar Premium Indoor Cycling. Beauty District Salon Suites and Braidy Jewelers recently opened and Koi Poke and Shasta Pools Showroom will open later this year.
