FJI launches 3rd Annual Design It Forward

FJI, a boutique food and beverage interior design studio in Scottsdale, is kicking off the third annual Design It Forward campaign June 3rd, 2019. 

Design It Forward allows FJI to donate their interior design services to one lucky recipient in the food and beverage industry. FJI recognizes the passion and hard work of new food and beverage concepts and wants to help bring the visions to life.

“Our goal with Design It Forward is to celebrate and encourage innovation in the Phoenix food and beverage market. This is our way of giving back to the community who has invested in us, and breathe in creativity in design,” said Dala Al-Fuwaires, principal of FJI. “We have been grateful to work with so many unique brands throughout the Valley, and are excited to see what this year brings!”   

Chefs, coffee connoisseurs, wine enthusiasts, home bakers, food truck owners, foodies, entrepreneurs and everyone in-between is encouraged to apply for this innovative campaign. FJI is seeking anyone with new concept, expanding concept or remodeling existing location, in the Greater Phoenix area to apply. Food and beverage concepts must be a locally owned and operated, new concept or existing looking for a remodel within 800-3,000 SF of front of house space to qualify.

The winner of DiF will receive design renderings, valued at $10,000.00, that include: a fully developed concept, design drivers, floor plan, reflected ceiling plan, materials & finishes, furniture & lighting and a 3D rendering. 

This year, the Design It Forward judging panel includes:

·  Christina Barrueta, award-winning food writer, Write on Rubee

·  David DeLorenzo, CEO of BAR and Restaurant Insurance

·  Theodore Claassen, Jr, Associate Broker At Ox Urban

·  Brian Laubenthal, Principal of Aline Architecture Concepts

·  Grace Unger,Owner of Tuck Shop & Chief Creative Officer at True North Studio 

Previous Design It Forward winners include Freak Brothers Pizza in their flagship location at The Churchill and Iconic Cocktail Co with a yet-to-be-opened concept. 

Applications close July 12, 2019, and the winner will be announced early August.
