Co-developers MorningStar Senior Living and N-Shea Group have broken ground on a new senior living community in Glendale, Arizona, at North 67th Avenue and West Golden Lane. The project will open under the name MorningStar of Glendale in late 2018, with an Information Center for the public opening on site in January 2018.
Situated on 8.82 acres, the 118,796-square-foot development will offer 65 suites for assisted living and 35 suites devoted to the individualized care of residents with memory impairment. For independent living, the community also boasts 38 casitas with garages, structured as quadruplexes, with its own clubhouse and swimming pool.
Within its Assisted Living and Memory Care neighborhoods, MorningStar of Glendale will offer studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites, ranging from 300 to over 1236 square feet, together with a 24-hour bistro with full bar; private dining room for parties; fitness and wellness center; massage/therapy room; salon; library; theater and chapel; walking paths and courtyards with resident gardening beds and outdoor dining patios. Most Assisted Living suites include washer/dryers. Model suites are slated to open for public tours in May 2018.
The project represents the 17th ground-up development for MorningStar Senior Living, a Denver-based senior living developer, owner and operator; and the second joint venture among affiliates of MorningStar and N-Shea Group, a Scottsdale-based development company.
“Glendale continues to be one of Arizona’s fastest growing communities and there is strong housing demand and population growth for seniors and adult children,” said Bart Shea, CEO of N-Shea Group. “First-class communities like MorningStar Senior Living of Glendale are designed to meet and exceed these lifestyle expectations. The community will include resident-centered design concepts and significant amenity space for hassle-free retirement living.”
