Hockey Hall of Famer Wayne Gretzky once said, “You miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take.” In other words, if you want to be recognized for your hard work, talent and energy, then you have to take action.
Commercial real estate is no different, and there’s no better time to take action than right now by submitting Real Estate and Development (RED) Awards nominations for your company’s best projects, which are now open here.
Each year at the annual RED Awards reception, AZ Big Media recognizes the top commercial real estate projects completed the year prior along with the companies and people who made each one possible. Ultimately, one project will win in each of the 11 project categories. In addition, awards for the architecture firm, contractor and developer for year will be presented.
AZRE will also publish a special feature on the winners and finalists within the March/April issue, but winners will not be announced until the RED Awards reception.
A couple of last year’s winners include the REI Distribution Center, the first industrial center ever awarded both a LEED Platinum certification and Net Zero Energy rating, and the OdySea Aquarium, which is the largest aquarium in the Southwest, spanning 200,000 square feet with more than 30,000 animals.
For this year’s RED Awards, nomination forms must be submitted by Friday, December 15, 2017 to be considered. Eligible projects must also have been completed sometime in 2017.
All nominations will be reviewed by a selection committee comprised of commercial real estate professionals, business leaders and the AZRE editorial team.
