Scottsdale, Ariz.-based general contractor Stevens Leinweber Construction has announced that Jamie Godwin has joined the firm as vice president. Godwin, who has more than 23 years of construction experience, will be providing project management and business development services.
Godwin spent the last five years as a founding partner of Phoenix-based The Richard Solomon Group / RSG Builders, construction management and construction firms; acting as managing principal. In that capacity, Godwin oversaw construction management, design/build, and general contracting services.
Prior to that, Godwin, a graduate of Georgia Tech’s Construction Management program, spent 13 years with Opus West Construction Corp., with the last four as senior director of construction, leading the design/build operations for the Phoenix market.
Godwin stated, “I could not pass up the opportunity to join the team at Stevens Leinweber, where there is an over 30-year track record of delivering high quality construction. I have tremendous respect for Mike Stevens and Mark Leinweber, and I believe my experience and skillset are a good complement to them and the existing team at Stevens Leinweber.”
Stevens Leinweber Construction President Mike Stevens made the announcement, saying, “Jamie’s addition fits our philosophy of attracting high quality individuals and provides a strategic eye towards the future. We believe his experience in the real estate and construction industry in the Valley will be a great addition to our staff.”
Godwin’s experience in the Phoenix market includes involvement in many notable real estate development projects including Collier Center, Camelback Esplanade and Tempe Gateway. Recent work includes corporate offices for Cole Real Estate Investments and OnTrac.
