Justin Kelton, executive vice president of McCarthy Building Companies Inc. (www.mccarthy.com), was recently named to the board of directors for the Support Sky Harbor Coalition, a nonprofit 501(c)4 organization that supports the continued development of Sky Harbor and the enhancement of its existing operations.

McCarthy has past and current experience with a number of construction projects at Sky Harbor, including building portions of Terminal 4 and an associated parking structure. More recently, the McCarthy-Kiewit joint venture team completed 0.6 miles of guideway and a single station for the Sky Train project that serves both Terminals 2 and 3 with a pedestrian bridge.

“Justin is a proven leader with a strong operational background and knowledge of current construction and activities at Sky Harbor,” said Bo Calbert, president of McCarthy Southwest. “He will be a great asset to the coalition, and McCarthy is proud to participate in the coalition and recognize the airport as a vital economic engine here in Phoenix.”

Kelton joined McCarthy in 2001 after serving as a U.S. Marine, and he has received several promotions over the past decade. He earned a Civil and Environmental Certificate from Vermont Technical College. He is a board member for the Arizona Builders’ Alliance and is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and theWestern Maricopa Coalition (WESTMARC). He also participates in McCarthy Heart Hats, the volunteer-based community outreach arm of McCarthy Building Companies that includes McCarthy employees and their family members who support the communities in which they live, work and play by volunteering for communityprojects and fundraising efforts.
